Faiza Usman is Senior Vice President supporting the UAE Investments Platform as part of the Business Finance team at Mubadala Investment Company. She is a Canadian Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in developing and building teams, strategies systems and processes to elevate the efficiency of the accounting and finance function of action-driven organizations. Before moving to the UAE, Faiza was responsible for internal controls, statutory reporting, management reporting, and taxation at various leading Canadian-based companies including KPMG, Bell Canada and Barrick Gold. Faiza holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from York University, is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) Certified Public Accountant as recognized by the State of Illinois, and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, I am Vice President of Operations for PAL Aerospace LLC in Abu Dhabi. I am responsible for all PAL operations in the UAE, including in-service support, aircraft and component maintenance, aircrew and maintenance training, and aviation component manufacturing. Prior to joining PAL in 2016 and moving to Abu Dhabi full time in 2017, I served for 15 years as a Logistics Officer in the Canadian Military, specialising in the global strategic movements of military personnel and equipment. From 2006 to 2010, I co-owned and operated a boutique digital marketing company in Montreal, specializing in video marketing strategy, content production, and video streaming. From 2010 to 2015, I was Senior Operations Manager in Afghanistan for a Canadian/US aviation company, responsible for fixed- and rotary-wing aviation operations support to the US Department of State Airwing and various NATO military contingents. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the Royal Military College of Canada. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, fitness, reading, and music.
